When we met Jennifer and Thomas at their engagement session, we talked so much I thought we would run out of time for the actual photos. Some couples you just get along so well and really want to connect and get to know each other that the “job” becomes secondary. Even after the fun engagement session we wanted to stay to talk more, except we have a one year old waiting for us at home. This is a critical reason for hiring your wedding photographer to also take your engagement session. Many times it acts as a first meet and greet and to check how well you vibe with each other. It always turns out wonderful for us and it allows the couple to feel excitement for the actual wedding day because they see the results from just a casual two hour session.
We really enjoyed the grounds at Baltusrol Golf Club, one of the most exclusive locations we’ve worked at in New Jersey. The clubhouse itself is a wonderful photogenic backdrop just behind a perfectly placed bridge for the couple to share a quiet moment together. They really did plan this far in advance while building the property. It was after this intimate session where we would all have to go back to the lively cocktail hour and start the party! The dancing and celebration started way before the official reception time, we knew the guests were having an amazing time and couldn’t wait to begin. The live music band Hank Lane did an amazing job keeping everyone out on the dance floor all night. After the wedding I told Olya I wish more weddings were just like this!
